First Step Into Food-blogging

So...here I am. It's Sunday - early evening. I finally graduated college as an adult student with my bachelor's in biology. That took way too many years, but I did it! So...now what? Back in April, I was applying for jobs like a madwoman. A glitch came up and I learned that I would have to take summer classes to finish out my degree. Alright, no biggie. I went through the motions and finished all my classes at the end of June - and found out that my husband's job is moving us to sunny ol' Florida. Where does that leave me? In a sort of purgatory. It would be pointless for me to try and establish roots here in North Carolina with a career. We talked and agreed that I should hold off until September and try to find something in Florida.

In the meantime? I've been placed into a housewife role...until one the husband's coworker (and a friend of mine) proposed that I cook for her. BINGO! For those of you that don't really know me, I LOVE too cook. It's one of my few passionate hobbies. And? I love to make others feel good. *arches an eyebrow* Not like that, you sick-o. *shakes my head* Anyway, this coworker of my hubby's has a lot of health issues going on. Between her job, her specific diet, and trying to figure out what's up, she just doesn't have the time to cook for herself. And, THAT my friends, is how I came to be a personal home chef.

Now, let me state my disclaimer. I am in NO way a professional. Nor am I licensed, incorporated, or a graduate of some prestigious culinary school. What I have taken on is simply because I enjoy cooking and am good at it. Even if someone weren't paying me, I'd cook. In fact, I do cook. A lot

This blog is to chronicle my cooking projects. It's somewhere I can post the photos of the food I make, to talk about it, and to maybe even share recipes. And, if you find that you want to take me on as your personal home chef, let me know!

Wait...what's that? You want to actually see some of things that I make? That's almost preposterous! (Can you note the sarcasm? I sure hope so.) Well...since you asked....

Happy Sunday, folks!
